We won!!
'Best Handmade or Hand-finished Range' - Stardust from Talking Pictures. Hooray!!!
I'm so pleased that our designs won against really tough competition (and loads of entries!) including the lovely 'Five Dollar Shake' cards. Lots of new fun ideas for the refresh!
That's me back in the studio, the morning after(!) clutching the trophy with the range in the background :) x

Henries nominated range!
These are some of my cards which are part of a range called 'Stardust' for Talking Pictures. They have been nominated for 'Best Handmade or Hand-finished Range' at the Henries Awards this year! We're up against some tough competition but fingers crossed :) 14,000 cards were entered this year so I'm very happy that we are one of the 5 finalists for this category!
Talking pictures studio :)
Although we have a tiny studio, kath and I have prettied up our mocking-up area which we use once we've designed our cards to add glitter, gems, sequins and ribbon ready to send off to the factory to be produced. The salt and pepper pots for our glitter and jam jars are a new edition! :)
Inspiration board at work
Thought i'd post some pics of my inspiration pinboard at work where I design greetings card for Talking Pictures in Bath. There are lots of illustrators and designers up there I love including Hennie Haworth, Rob Ryan, Julia Rothman, Helen Dardik, Chrssie Abbot, Vault 49 and lots more. Lovely cards too from Five Dollar Shake, M&S, Paperchase, Tina Ramsbottoms 'Treasures' by paperlink and of course Caroline Gardener. Let me know if you spot anyone i've forgotten! :)

Wall drawing
Here are a few pics of the carousel horses/giraffe/ostrich and butterlies I've been doodling on my friend Louise's kitchen wall, nearly finished!
New agent *Pink Light*!

I'm SO excited to be represented by Mary Beth Freet and the really fun new Pink Light Design agency based in Seattle. I spent the weekend working on some new patterns for 'fall' and halloween (which is soo huge in america!) All very exciting! Mary Beth has put together a fantastic Fall-Winter 2010 Trend forecast pack for the artists, taken from her visits to the big fashion shows. Lots to get started on!
